Detailed Speaker Bio:
Highly sought after as a speaker on the importance of arts integration, Steve Fessler works tirelessly to find funding to make the Arts affordable and accessible to all people. Steve retired in 2006 as a producer of live entertainment from the Walt Disney Company, where he oversaw multi-million-dollar entertainment projects at Walt Disney World in Orlando. A graduate of the University of South Florida, he currently serves on the USF’s Foundation Board of Directors and chairs their Philanthropy and Donor Engagement committee, raising over $184M in 2025 for advancing educational projects and facilities. He is also on the executive board of directors for Central Florida Community Arts. Before joining the Walt Disney Co., Steve was a performer on the national and international stage, having appeared professionally in 8 countries, 45 states, 208 cities, and 245 concert halls and theaters internationally.
Steve started his career in NYC as the tenor soloist with the famed Norman Luboff Choir for 3 years. In 2022 Steve and his husband of 44 years, Randy Lord, were on the producing team that won the 2022 Tony Award for Broadway’s Best Musical “A Strange Loop,” receiving the award on the Radio City Music Hall stage, in front of over 4.2 million viewers on the live broadcast on National TV.
